The Directive on the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications of Public Sector Bodies (EU) 2016/2102 establishes that public entities must ensure the accessibility of their websites and mobile applications, including multimedia content such as videos and audios. In addition, Spain's General Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and their Social Inclusion (LGD) sets similar standards, requiring content creators to provide accessible alternatives for people with disabilities.

Products and services that were already available on the market before June 28, 2025, may continue to be marketed without meeting the new requirements. However, any update or new version launched after this date must be accessible.

Deadline for market exceptions (products and services existing before 2025) to comply with the new regulations or be withdrawn from the market.
